Mccrue present
« on: May 06, 2008, 06:59:29 pm »
Hey, I'm Mccrue, hailing in from sonoma county, California.

Some random info on me:
16 years old.
Favorite types of music are trance, hard trance, and most other electronically-made music.
I've been glowstringing for the last few months, and am getting alright at it.
I have been creating trance/experimental music with a friend using FL studio for a while now. Message me if you'd like to hear some.

Hi Mccrue,

I'd definitely like to hear some of your music; I'm a bit curious about trance music.  If you want to post some here, we do have a music section, and there is now a new downloads feature that allows file sharing...

Best wishes and hope you enjoy your time here!

I couldn't get it to play... what's the codec?  I even tried it in Adobe Soundbooth CS3 and couldn't get it to play...

I'm getting an error message in Windows Media Player 11:

"Windows Media Player cannot play the file.  The Player might not support the file type or might not support the codec that was used to compress the file."

Are you using divx or real or some other format to record your mp3 files?

Adobe Soundbooth CS3 says it's a damaged or unsupported file, so it's not a simple mp3; whatever you are using to record or encode must have a proprietary codec.

I'm going to load some codec packs and see if I can get it to play.

I just analyzed the file with gspot v2.1 (which I've included as an attachment).

According to it, there's no usable data in that file...  if it is music then the codec defies analysis.

I'd suggest you try to attach it again, as I suspect it became corrupt during the upload process.

Best wishes, and I hope we can hear your stuff,

Bruke

I'm totally stumped... I've even downloaded a good codec pack, and nothing....

I'm going to check the directory on the server where the file should be stored...

Hah, I finally got it to play.  I had to install the CCC pack, which I've uploaded here.

Neat tune, soothing, I like it.

You should see a little email button on all my posts, but in case you have trouble finding it, you can always send to webmaster@bruke.net and I'll get it.

However, I got this one... it was just a matter of getting the right codec.

thanks!
